Applied AI literacy means using AI tools for a defined purpose, checking outputs and knowing when a human must take over. The proposed CYBEX track covers prompt engineering, workflows, models and agents. Its current approved syllabus and availability still require confirmation.
Prompting and evaluation
A useful prompt states the task, context, desired output and constraints. Check facts, missing information and result quality against a standard. Practise with non-sensitive sample data. Do not enter private student, customer or patient records into an unapproved service.
Workflows, models and agents
An AI workflow connects input, processing, review and action. An agent may use tools for multiple steps, making permissions, logs and approval points important. Test failures and document limits before automating a real decision. A portfolio demo could summarize public course information, cite sources and flag uncertain claims for human review.
Choosing between AI and programming tracks
Choose AI literacy to understand where tools fit into technical or business work. Choose advanced Python for deeper programming foundations or web application development to build user-facing software. Compare CYBEX’s AI course and AI automation course.
